Tbilisi to Baku by road: not possible in 2026
As of September 2026, Azerbaijan's land border is closed to passengers. It has been closed since March 2020, and the latest extension runs to 1 October 2026. No taxi or private transfer can take you from Tbilisi to Baku by road, so OrbiTrip does not sell this route.
What works instead
- Train. The Tbilisi–Baku passenger train resumed on 26 May 2026. It is the only land crossing open to travellers. Check the current timetable and who may use it with the railway before you plan around it.
